Welcome to All Trails Lead North

This is All Trails Lead North.

Not a big box brand. Not a warehouse operation. A northern lifestyle brand built around real food, real places, and a genuine love of everything that lives north of the noise. One person. One mission. Every bag packed by hand.

Where It Started

It started with wild rice. It always starts with wild rice up here. Minnesota wild rice has fed people in the north for thousands of years — long before grocery stores, long before anyone put it in a box and called it convenient. It grows in clean cold lakes, harvested from canoes the same way it has always been done. It is whole grain, naturally gluten free, non-GMO, and one of the most nutritious foods you can put in a bowl. More importantly it tastes like the north. Earthy, nutty, satisfying in a way that is hard to explain until you have cooked it right.

That is what we sell. Real wild rice from Minnesota and Canada — Grade A, Soup Grade, Wood Parched, Hand Harvested, Canadian Jumbo Organic. Every variety that matters. Every bag packed right here by hand.

The Life That Built It

But this brand was never just about rice.

It was born on a gravel road heading north. The kind of road that starts smooth and gets better the longer you stay on it. The truck loaded with gear, dogs in the back, no real agenda except to get deeper into the trees and further from the noise. A lake nobody else knows about. A campfire that goes until the wood runs out. A cast iron skillet that has never been washed with soap and never will be.

That is the life that built this brand. Fishing openers on cold Minnesota lakes before the sun is fully up. Kayaking shallow bays where wild rice grows thick along the edges. Driving forest roads in the Chequamegon and the Superior until the signal disappears and the only thing left is the sound of the wind in the white pine. Watching the northern lights come up green over a black tree line and just sitting with it.

What We Stand For

The north gives us everything. Wild rice from clean water. Walleye from cold lakes. Wood ducks off wild rice beds at first light. Moose in the shallows at dusk. Public land that belongs to everyone willing to make the drive. We do not take any of that for granted — which is why 1% of every sale goes directly to protecting the clean water that makes all of it possible.

What This Blog Is

This blog is where the rest of the brand lives. Wild rice recipes built for real kitchens and camp stoves. Overlanding up north — gravel roads, national forests, two-tracks that go somewhere worth going. Kayak fishing on northern lakes. Cast iron cooking over open fire. Conservation and the places worth protecting. The kind of content that earns a bookmark.

We are just getting started. Coffee is coming. Apparel is coming. More of the north is coming.

For now — cook some wild rice. Make a pot of soup. Get in the truck and head north.
